Endodontics
Endodontics is a procedure which is carried out when a tooth is infected as a result of decay or injury.
Our practice has been a centre for endodontic referrals since 1996.
Dr Halton, who routinely undertakes the procedure, is one of only a handfull of dentists in this country to have completed an endodontics course given by Dr L. Steven Buchanan in California.
In addition to this he has over thirty years clinical experience in his area of expertise.
In the UK, since the introduction of the "new contract", in 2006 official figures have shown that the number of endodontic procedures carried out by general dental services ( NHS ) has reduced by 50%.
In this period people have increasingly sought out the services of Dr Halton.
In addition over twenty dental practitioners throughout the North West routinely refer cases to the practice, aware that increasingly endodontics has become a technically demanding aspect of dental treatment which remains the only viable alternative to tooth extraction.
